Mcfly consists of Danny (guitar, vocals), Tom ( guitar, vocals), Harry (drums) and Dougie (bass, vocals). Tom originally went for a place in Busted but missed out and Charlie was picked. Tom and Danny met and Mcfly was formed. Tom kept in touch with James Bourne and together they many songs. Many of these songs appear on Busted’s albums and Mcfly’s. Soon Harry and Dougie joined and the rest is history! They got their name from the film Back to the Future, Tom and James fave film.
They first came into the public eye when they supported Busted on their tour and in April 2004 released their first single which went straight to number 1. Since then they have had two number 1's and two other songs in the top five.

This year so far, they have won a Brit for Best Pop Act, released a number 1 double side Comic Relief single, appeared in Casualty, filmed a film, Just My Luck and are now writing their new album material.

During the course of the last few months they have appeared at Live8 in Tokyo and Edinburgh. Mcfly have played a big role in the Make Poverty History campaign since promoting Red Nose Day by recording the official single.

They have also celebrated Tom’s 20th birthday; Danny has passed his driving test and brought himself a Mini Cooper. Dougie has also acquired anothed lizard called Joey to accompany his existing one (Ziggy). Dougie has also started to wear glasses!
