Whales and Dolphins

Whales, Dolphins and porpoises belong to the family of marine mammals. They are lovely big creatures and are extremely clever. There are several places where you can swim with dolphins. I went swimming with them in Bermuda in a place called Dolphin Quest. It was one of the best experiences ever.
Unfortunately the number of dolphins out in the wild is decreasing due to them being tangled up in fishing nets.

There are about 80 species of Whale and Dolphin including the largest animal on earth; the Blue Whale.
It is possible to adopt Dolphins. My friend sponsors a Dolphin from a different charity, but you can also sponsor a Dolphin from WWF as well.
The available date tells us that more than 300,000Whales and Dolphins are killed annually in fishing gear.
Some species of large Whale are killed in the collision with big ships. In the 1990’s alone, 90% of non - natural right whale deaths for which a cause could be determined as ship collision. Sadly, our dolphins and whales are not being given the freedom they need. WWF are trying to stop this though.
