Marine Turtles

Turtles are lovely animals, unfortnatly they are being hunted down for their shell.
Until recently, their sucess was apparent as turtles were being washed in on the beach. It is a shame that turtles just won’t be left alone. On beaches around the world, guards have to stand by the beaches 24/7 to check no one has stolen any turtle eggs, that is how bad it is.
I know a Hawksbill Turtle who was washed up on the beach in Bermuda, When she was found, she had a hook shaped cut in her flipper, the rescuers guessed she could have been in a fishing accident. The turtle is know happy in a safe, natural place with other turtles.

Sadly, the turtles cannot swim freely anymore. Sometimes, a shell isn’t enough to protect them.
